I have finished tweaking my old FM08 gameplay patch for use with FM09. It plays practically the same as my previous patch but has had some minor tweaks for FM09 to regeneration, referee decisions, realistic scorelines, confidence and a few other small touches here and there.
If you liked the 08 version then you will like this one. Of course if you did not like the 08 version then you may not like this one. I think we all have different taste. I have tested it extensively in manager mode but I have NOT TESTED it in player-manager mode. It may work perfectly or it may not. The following is the description from the 08 version, as I said previously they are practically identical with those few exceptions. Improved team flow (now the team look like a team rather than 11 individuals) Optimized pass model Improved vision (increased chance of one off passes to forwards, greater anticipation both attacking and defending etc) Effective dribble (when dribble selected) Optimized back-pass option Realistic goalkeeping movement and decisions (sideway passes, lobs, movement) Scaled skill factor bias (excellent skill, very good skill, good skill, average skill, poor skill) Higher counter attack team-play (flowing 11) Improved ball physics (bounce, friction, gravity) Improved moral, form & rating vs results, winning & losing streaks Players skills now visibly effect the way they play (skill vs global rating ratio) More shots from the edge of the area Greater variety of shot power (blast, chip, lob) Greater variety of shot angles Striker vs Defender bias removed (it is now skill vs skill based) Improved build-up play (intelligent passes) Optimized full back positioning and movement (allowing for better use of wing-backs when needed) Increased free kick variation Tackles, fouls, cards optimized Home advantages tweaked Cup wins, finals, qualifiers wins & losses effects improved Slightly tweaked cam clipping issues and a long long list of tweaks........... Well I played 3-4 matches and this patch is very good.
I have noticed some issues with the shooting however, I have scored 2 goals where the ball was going to fly high over the bar from a shot from my striker, only for the GK to palm it into his own net. I hadn't seen this on SMB's or Latifolia's patch but it could just be the situation. I did manage to capture it with fraps, I will make it into a vid and try and post it tomorrow for you to look at. Great work tho. |

I have not experienced anything like that, or at least not often. I would love to see a fraps capture How did you find the final score lines in player-manager mode? Realistic? -E- ![]() |

It certainly looks like a problem in my patch although it is the first time I have ever seen it happen. I will look at the response times, it maybe that I have missed something or typed a value in wrong. I will be back with more information after some testing -E- ![]() |

about high shots that keeper redirect to the net: I have seen this before any patches, with original config, both in 08 and in 09. though it looks really strange the ones from youtube.
